Congratulations Ben, Chad, Joe and Conan.

Last weekend, my karate school took some students to the Bluegrass Nationals Karate Tournament in Louisville, KY. It’s one of the larger national championship tournaments every year. My teammates did quite well, as usual.

  • Ben won the youth 17-18 advanced fighting category
  • Chad won the men’s advanced heavyweight division
  • Chad, Joe and Conan won the men’s under-blackbelt team fighting competition

There were a few other honorable mentions, but those were the BIG wins. Makes me proud to say I fight these guys every week. I’ll probably be going out to Louisville next year, but there are a few local competitions I’ll be competing at this September and October, first. We shall see.
