Vacation

So it’s about time I recapped the recent vacation. Very brief, I’m afraid:

For once, the flight out was pretty much on time. I’ve been having bad luck with flights this year.
Woke up at 5AM the next morning for Mica’s first mass ascension. It went off beautifully, the weather was nice and riding in on a crew truck avoids all the lines (as well as the parking/admission fees).
Met some of my parents friends that they had met on their last cruise (two days after our wedding, even). They’ll be going on the cruise with us next November. Very cool people.
Took Mica scuba diving in Santa Rosa. I’m up to 97 dives. I’m hoping to do 3 more in Florida in December to hit the 100 mark this year.
Got to catch up with most of my friends in Albuquerque
Took Mica to the balloon glow Thursday night. It was only the special shapes that evening. very awesome sight and the fireworks afterwards are amazing.
The flight back was delayed just enough to make me miss my karate lesson. I’m having bad, bad luck with flights, I swear.

That was pretty much the trip. Relaxed, saw friends, ate good food, watched the balloons and otherwise had a nice time.
